Sales tax and books for your Wix store.

Ledgerly reads your Wix Stores orders and works out the sales tax you collected, by state and by month, along with your expenses, profit and loss, and job costs. Made by a working shop that uses it for its own books.

Your sales tax, ready when the month closes

Ledgerly reads your Wix Stores orders and adds up what you collected, by state and by month. No exporting, no copying totals into a spreadsheet, no guessing which orders were taxable.

We built it from the workbook we use to run our own shop's books and Georgia sales tax, after we dropped QuickBooks. It does the adding up. You still file the return with your state.

How it works

Install it on your Wix site and it starts with the orders you already have.

  1. Install from the Wix App Market. Ledgerly asks for read-only access. It reads your orders. It never changes them.
  2. Pick the states you file in. Georgia comes first. More states are added as shops in them join.
  3. Add the rest of the month. Log expenses and job costs, and keep exempt customers' certificates on file.
  4. Close the month. Ledgerly gives you the taxable sales and tax collected for each state, plus your profit and loss.

What is in it

One place for the numbers a small shop needs every month, without paying for a full accounting package.

Sales tax by state

Taxable sales and tax collected from your Wix Stores orders, by state and by month.

State filing rules

Each state's rules come from a central list we keep up to date every month, so you are not tracking changes yourself.

Exempt customers

Keep tax-exempt certificates on file for schools, churches and resellers, and keep their sales out of your taxable total.

Expenses and P&L

Log expenses and see profit and loss for the month and the year.

Job costs

See what each job really cost you in blanks and supplies against what you charged.

1099 vendor totals

Running totals by vendor, flagged when one passes $600 for the year.

Pricing

Fixed monthly plans, published before launch. Your plan is set by your monthly sales and how many states you file in, so a small one-state shop pays the least. No per-order fees.

Questions

Does Ledgerly file my sales tax return?

No. It works out your taxable sales and the tax you collected for each state. You file the return with your state yourself, or hand the numbers to whoever files it for you.

Which states does it cover?

Georgia first. More states are added as shops that file in them join early access. Tell us your states when you sign up.

Can it change my orders?

No. Ledgerly asks for read-only access to your Wix site. It reads orders and never edits them.

Does it replace QuickBooks?

For many small shops, yes: sales tax, expenses, profit and loss, job costs and 1099 vendor totals are covered. If you have employees on payroll or need full double-entry accounting, keep your accountant's tools.

Do I need Wix Stores?

Yes. The first version reads Wix Stores orders.

Is this tax advice?

No. Ledgerly is bookkeeping software. Check anything you are unsure about with your state's revenue department or a tax professional.
