The Hat Builder is made by Hobbs Peak Designs LLC, Temple, Georgia. Contact: info@hobbspeak.com. This builder runs on a shop's website. The shop that uses it decides what to do with the requests it receives.

Quote and order requests

When a customer sends a quote or order request, the builder sends their name, email, optional phone and company, notes, the artwork file, the mockup images and the design choices so the request can be delivered to the shop. Delivery may pass through our servers and the shop's own website and email systems. The shop is responsible for how it uses and keeps that information. A limited copy of the request details, without the artwork or mockup images, is kept on our servers for up to 180 days to help the shop and us fix delivery problems.

AI previews

If a customer taps "Make it realistic (AI)", the design image and any look notes they typed are sent through our server to an AI image service to create an illustrative preview. The preview is only an illustration; the final proof is made from the original artwork.

Shop settings

A shop's settings (prices, watermark, options) are stored on our servers so every customer of that shop sees the same builder. Shops sign in with a private admin key. Public settings, including prices the builder needs to show a quote, can be read by anyone who opens that shop's builder.

Usage statistics (Insights)

The builder records anonymous counts so the shop can see how it is used: builder opens, first interactions, AI preview results and feedback, quote requests, the garment or patch type, the print method and an order-size range. Customer names, emails, artwork and IP addresses are not stored in these statistics. Technical network information, such as IP addresses, is processed briefly to operate the service and prevent abuse. Statistic counters are kept for up to 400 days; recent AI error codes are kept for up to 90 days.

Third parties

The builder loads fonts from Google Fonts and product photos from our image host. Those services can see a visitor's IP address as part of normal web requests. AI previews use an AI service provider as described above. The builder has no advertising trackers.

Your choices

Customers can ask the shop, or us at info@hobbspeak.com, to delete their request information. Shops can ask us to delete their settings and statistics.
